The village can be reached from San José, starting from the bus station Gran Terminal del Caribe, with buses to Puerto Viejo departing at 6:00 a. m. – 10 a. m. and 1:30 p. m. – 3:30 p. m. Travel time is about four and a half hours and it costs about $ 5.50.

You can also take a private minibus from the Caribe Shuttle Company, a service offered in collaboration with our establishment, and bookings are possible directly through the application on this page.

This service allows you to select the airport as your departure point, as long as the arrival time of your flight allows it, or to select the hotel of your choice for the overnight stay in San José (we recommend the Hotel City Express, with an excellent quality-price ratio and very close to the airport). The minibus will take you directly to our establishment when selecting “Puerto Viejo, Alloro Jungle Villas” as your destination.

Travel time is about four and a half hours. The shuttle bus transports a limited number of people and is equipped with air conditioning and Wi-Fi. It is also possible to make reservations for groups, with personalized schedules.

Another option is to travel from San José with a private car, following Route 32 to Limón. Then continue on Route 36 towards Puerto Viejo de Talamanca until you cross the village, and then continue to Cocles Beach.

The village is located at only 1.3 km – 0.80 miles from the Jaguar Rescue Center and 900 m – 0.55 miles from Cocles Beach on the street El Tucan. Alloro Jungle Villas is located at about 700 m – 0.43 miles on your left.

Domestic flights from San José to Limón and arrival to Puerto Viejo by taxi are also possible.
